This website uses the following data sources:

• MCD Data: Mesoscale Convective Discussions from the NOAA/NWS Storm Prediction Center (SPC). www.spc.noaa.gov
• Iowa Environmental Mesonet (IEM): MCD data is retrieved via the Iowa State University Iowa Environmental Mesonet API. We gratefully acknowledge their service in archiving and providing access to SPC products. mesonet.agron.iastate.edu
• Map Tiles: Map imagery provided by various third-party basemap providers (OpenStreetMap, ESRI, USGS, CartoDB). See basemap attribution on the map.

DATA QUALITY: MCDs are archived NWS Storm Prediction Center discussions. These are forecaster-written products that may have been updated or superseded. This is archival data only, not for current severe weather forecasting.
