Purpose: This website provides interactive visualizations of historical drifter buoy data from the NOAA Global Drifter Program for educational and research purposes.
Data Coverage: Hourly quality-controlled drifting buoy observations from the Global Drifter Program (GDP). Data includes position, sea surface temperature (SST), and surface velocity.
